Bitte bedenkt: Wir arbeiten hauptsächlich mit den Formaten DIN A5 und A6, die Gegenstände sollten also nicht zu groß sein.
Termine / dates:
Cyanotypie I: 24.10.2025, 16:30–21:30, incl. break(s)
Cyanotypie II: 25.10.2025, 10:30–17:00, incl. break(s)
Cyanotype emerged in the mid-19th century as one of the first photographic imaging processes. With the help of paper, light-sensitive chemicals, and sunlight, photograms and prints of photographs are created—the results of this analog technique still impress today with their typical cyan blue tones. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of this technique and create your own cyanotypes. We will experiment with different materials and techniques to discover different shades beyond the familiar blue tone. Workshops can be attended one day or both consecutive days.
You are welcome to bring:
- Plants, natural materials (fresh, dried, or pressed)
- Light-transmitting materials (plastic, glass, etc.)
- Drawings on translucent foil/paper
- Small objects with interesting shapes
- If you would like to work with your own photographs in the workshop, please send up to 3 photos to nico@kalamariklub.org by October 21, 2025 at the latest. The images don’t need to be particularly high resolution (between 72 and 300 dpi, file size max. 3MB) and can be in color or black and white (the end result will be monochrome/white and “blue” to other tones – more details in the workshop).
Please note: We mainly work with DIN A5 and A6 formats, so the objects should not be too large.
